 Some Working Years

Most of it was fun, all of it hard work, but I'd happily do it again.

With a proviso: that any client understands that whilst the abilities of the people on
both sides of the camera are crucial, the fact remains that it's the person in front of that machine who
ultimately makes or breaks an entire shoot.

Model casting really needs to take these factors into consideration.

One picks a photographer on the strength of his style, which is largely reflected in his choice of models.
Why, then, attempt to impose all manner
of restrictions and external pressures that can only demotivate?
Mechanically, photography is simple. You don't hire a photographer to be a mechanic.
If you don't see that, and all you really need is a button pusher, you might as well hire a camera and
attempt to do the job yourself. Seriously, that's pretty much how Deborah Turbeville began.

This is nothing to do with prima donna behaviour: this is all to do with getting the best results.
