I suppose that most of us have been fascinated, in one way or another, by that apparently limitless expanse
of water that takes up so much of our planet; I'm certainly no exception.

For some it means the ultimate freedom to roam where the winds and fancy dictate, and
yet, for others, it represents that final horizon to which they dare not wander. The allure of far and scattered foreign isles
is the fantasy that drives many from the safety of home into that space where certainty no longer exists; for the
more timid, the littoral offers adventure to raise the beat of the pulse quite far enough.
